What we actually do

The women you see are editorial characters. The hotels, restaurants, beaches, museums and villages are very real. To choose them, we cross-check official sources, practical information, maps, menus, programmes, reviews and public feedback. Then we make a call. If somewhere has not been personally visited, we do not pretend otherwise.

Does that make us objective? No. That would be a fairly silly promise. Every recommendation is a filter. Ours simply tries to have less diplomacy to protect, fewer people to charm and more freedom to say that a magnificent view does not necessarily rescue a mediocre lunch.
